The world is indeed NOT flat

In response to your inquires I did attempt to "walk" off the edge of the world - then I realized it was round and my quest was impossible. In reality I have taken the SAT and studied and completed LOTS of forms for my upcoming drivers license. I have scraped the skin of my big toe countless times since spending almost every day in the pool! Applied for a job - which I still have yet to hear about.... Celebrated a gazillion and four birthdays in one months time span. Rejoiced with my sister who was invited to invitational company for dance (for those who don't know (me included) this is a great privilege, special etc,  at the age of 10)  Made some rather important school decisions and took a nap or two! I have a goal this summer to travel around the world and meet many famous or historical figures courtesy of my local library. The plan is to blog about these adventures.....time will tell how this goes.

Farewell for now ~

So it's been quiet here as my life has been in an uproar.  Studying for the SAT in June, hopefuly I will know enough Algebra to get me through. Hope being the key word. Spent a few days at the beach with my family, where we saw the cathedral of St.John the Baptist in Savannah and where I celebrated my 16th birthday. Everyone had a great time and was sad to leave, but happy to be home in our own *ahem- by ourselves* beds. I also got to see SCAD, Savannah college of Art and Design. I have fallen in love and in two years you will find me there.....maybe. I really, really like the college I just don't know what I'm doing with life right now, I'm sure you all know the feeling. My sisters dance recital is in a week, they've been working very hard at perfecting their dances and I'm sure they'll do great! and there is a ton more that i've experienced lately not limited to an amazing church reatreat, a blessed easter, many, many wonderful friends who share their love with me, and studying for an upcoming license test.  How's everyone else's spring changing or going?

If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this? If you aren't anonymous do you wish you started out anonymously, so that you could be anonymous now?    Actually I do blog with my middle name, simply because 1. it's french 2. it was my great grandmother's middle name 3. I like it because it feels original and different.

2. Describe an incident that shows your inner stubborn side:
no particular incident comes to mind but I do have a habit of sticking to what I said, even if it's wrong. 3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
Um I don't really know.  Most times I see someone who appears complete, but is really searching for something else. Deep I know.
4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
Water and melted cold popsicles
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
Lots of things read, do puzzles, take pictures etc.
6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life?
Lotsa, lotsa things
7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?
Honestly I don't remember, I think I was more just there. Of course I didn't start homeschool until half way through 2nd grade.
8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?
My mind is rather addled right now from the daylight savings time so I have absolutely no clue9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog, or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people and events?
I'm okay with sharing my faults and others mistakes here. I just have to remind myslef this blog is a documentary for me...not anyone else. I choose to let others view it simply because others see things from another perspective and that's always helpful in my journey
10. If you had the choice to sit down and read a book, or talk on the phone, which would you choose and why?
Haha hard choice... depends on the book or person I'm talking to.  I enjoy having conversations with people I don't get to see often, but I do love getting lost in a good book!

So it's been quiet here, mainly 'cause I am attempting to forget 10 years worth of English grammar for the sake of two years of Spanish. Fun I know, envy me if you wish (not). Besides that I've been preparing for Confirmation, which is this Sunday btw. In the beginning.. *pause for dramatic effect* there was..... light!, okay joking, there was light, but I'm not going back that far. At the start of my confirmation prep I was reluctant to have anything to do with anyone. Looking back over the months I realize that if I hadn't gone for confirmation I wouldn't have met the amazing friends and people I now know.
Other decisions still loom in my future. I feel the pressure to make a career choice, but if and when I do I want it to be mine and not something I just do to appease someone. Oddly enough I think the medical profession is appealing, especially the doctorate part of it. even thought I hate science of any kind with a passion.  So much more I have to say that I can't fit into one little box. Guess I'll have to update more often.
Sweet dreams,
Claretta

2010 was an interesting year. So much happened that I will forever remember. I grew in my faith preparing for confirmation. I grew in self-esteem and confidence through several different experiences and many wonderful people.  Lastly I grew in trust. I was able to see first hand that God is not some figure watching man kind screw up, but an actual presence in each of our lives. I still feel alone at times, but now I trust that God will guide me down His path. I'm ready for 2011 to be another great year in my life! I hope and pray it will also be a wonderful year for all of you!

hmm paper due in 4 days about my patron saint for confirmation. As my patron saint is yet to be found, I will be studiously searching every saint book we own, along with the Internet. I like St.Augustine of Hippo, but St.Catherine of Siena is also an interest of mine.   How did you all choose your saints and why?
